Desires that Delight | Manna Moments | Episode 31
✨ Manna Moments – Desires That Delight ✨
Psalm 37:4 (KJV) says: “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
But this verse doesn’t mean God is a genie giving us everything we want. It means when we delight in Him first, He reshapes our passions to align with His will — and then fulfills them in ways greater than we imagined.
In this lesson, we look at the story of Solomon’s request for wisdom (1 Kings 3). Instead of riches or power, he asked for wisdom to lead God’s people. Because his desire pleased the Lord, God blessed him with wisdom and even gave him what he didn’t ask for.
📖 Key Scriptures (KJV):
Psalm 37:4 – “Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
Ecclesiastes 12:1 – “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth…”
James 4:14 – “…For what is your life? It is even a vapour…”
Romans 12:1–2 – “…be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
💡 Takeaway for Teens: Don’t wish your life away. God wants to use your passions now. If you put Him first, He’ll shape your desires into something eternal.
🙏 Reflection Question: Are your desires shaping your life, or is your delight in God shaping your desires?
