"The Legacy We Leave" - Episode 15
🎙️ Mike's Minutes | The Legacy We Leave
Every generation is only one generation away from forgetting God.
In 2 Kings 5:2–3, a young captive servant girl had every reason to become bitter. Instead, she chose faith. Even in the midst of hardship, she pointed Naaman toward the man of God. Somewhere along the way, someone had planted truth so deeply in her heart that captivity couldn't erase it.
Then in Deuteronomy 11:20–22, God gives His people a clear command: teach His Word diligently, speak of it often, and let it become part of everyday life. Why? Because faith isn't meant to stop with us—it is meant to be passed on.
Our children are learning something every day.
The question is:
What are we teaching them?
The greatest inheritance we can leave isn't money, possessions, or accomplishments. It's a faith that remains when we're no longer here.
The values we model...
The prayers we pray...
The Scriptures we teach...
The example we live...
These are the seeds that produce a harvest long after we're gone.
As parents, grandparents, teachers, church leaders, and mentors, we have an incredible opportunity—and responsibility—to invest in the next generation so they know not only what to believe, but why they believe it.
Let's build something that lasts.
Because a godly legacy doesn't happen by accident—it is built one faithful day at a time.
