"Remember the Tent" - Episode 20
Mike’s Minutes | "Remember the Tent"
📖 Genesis 24
Sometimes looking back helps us remember what should never be forgotten.
After Sarah’s death, Genesis 24 tells us something beautiful about Isaac and Rebekah: “Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent…” (Genesis 24:67 KJV).
That tent represented more than a place. It was connected to Isaac’s memories of his mother, the home she had helped build, and the influence she had left behind. When Rebekah entered that tent as Isaac’s wife, a new chapter began, but Sarah’s place in the story wasn’t simply erased.
There’s something powerful about remembering and honoring what came before us.
On Old Fashioned Day, we may remember old songs, old traditions, and people who helped shape our lives. But above everything else, we should never become so busy moving forward that we forget to look back and remember what Jesus has done for us.
Remember His love.
Remember His sacrifice.
Remember His faithfulness.
Remember where He brought you from.
Some things may be old - but they’re still worth remembering.
Join us for this week’s Mike’s Minutes as we look at Genesis 24 and the importance of never forgetting the One who has loved us all along.
