💧 MIKE’S MINUTES | GO TO THE SOURCE

Sometimes everything can look pleasant on the outside while something is still wrong at the source.

In 2 Kings 2:19–22, the people told Elisha that the city was pleasant, but the water was bad and the ground was barren. Elisha didn’t try to fix what the bad water had already affected. He went straight to the spring.

He called for a new cruse, put salt in it, and carried it to the source of the problem.

There’s a lesson in that for us.

We can spend our lives trying to manage the symptoms - fixing what’s happening downstream - while never dealing with what’s contaminating everything upstream.

Jesus showed us the same truth in John 4: He offers water that changes us from within.

🌊 Bad springs don’t produce good fruit.

If we want real change in our lives, our homes, our churches, and our communities, we have to quit treating only the symptoms and let God deal with the source.

▶️ Watch this week’s Mike’s Minutes and ask yourself...

Am I trying to fix what’s downstream while ignoring what’s happening at the spring?
