"Get Close to the Lamb" - Episode 19
š MIKEāS MINUTES | GET CLOSE TO THE LAMB
š Exodus 12 | John 5:39
In Exodus 12, the Passover lamb wasnāt simply selected and immediately sacrificed. It was taken in and kept until the appointed day. For those days, the family saw it, cared for it, and had the opportunity to examine it closely.
The closer they got to the lamb, the more costly that sacrifice must have felt.
And maybe thatās part of the picture God wanted them, and us, to see.
Jesus said, āSearch the scriptures⦠they are they which testify of me.ā ā John 5:39 KJV
The lamb in Exodus wasnāt just about what happened in Egypt.
It was pointing forward to Jesus Christ.
We can know about the Lamb without ever truly drawing close to Him. But the closer we get to Jesus, the more we begin to understand the incredible cost of Calvary.
Imagine the difficulty of giving up something you deeply loved.
Then consider the magnitude of John 3:16:
God gave His only begotten Son.
The Passover reminds us that salvation came at a tremendous cost.
š Donāt just know about the Lamb. Get close to the Lamb.
Watch this weekās Mikeās Minutes as we look at the Passover, the Lamb, and the love of God displayed through Jesus Christ.
